Q.E.D. is an abbreviation for a Latin phrase quod erat demonstrandum that means what was to be demonstrated. In the branch of mathematics that deals with proofs, when the truth of a theorem was proved, the formal written proof was concluded with letters Q.E.D. as an indication that the mathematician successfully completed the proof.

My name is Matthew Hill and I am a math tutor. My tutoring company is QED Math Tutoring LLC. Based out of Temple Hills, MD, in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, I provide online math tutoring through Zoom, MS Teams, Skype, and other video conferencing applications.

I have over 20 years tutoring experience:

• Worked in conjunction with case workers, social workers, and educational consultants to provide individualized instructional services to students who had court appointed tutoring
• Tutored high school students in all levels of mathematics

• Provided assistance to students needing to achieve success on the Maryland Functional Math Test as well as the High School Assessments
• Assisted high school students with their homework assignments

• Assisted middle and high school students with their homework assignments
• Participated in recreational activities with students

I offer 2 one-hour long online math tutoring sessions per week for 4 to 10 weeks. 6 weeks is probably the most common duration, the full 10-week session is probably the rarest. The fee is $50.00 per hour-long session.

There are 3 payment options: full payment, two payments, and three payments. You or your child might not be struggling to the point where a 10-week investment is needed so a 4 to 6 week program for one hour a week might be best suited for their needs which is an accommodation that I provide. The package includes:

• Training on Understanding algebraic and trigonometric expressions
• Content on Converting algebraic expressions to English words
• Strategies to improve solving math problems with a focus on word problems
• Bonus study training and revision material derived from my knowledgebase over time
• Recorded video responses to select homework questions upon request
